Earning a License

Completing the residency training is mandatory for the students. But the fellowship is opted for by those who wish to specialize in a specific category of plastic surgery. Certificates are to be renewed after completing the residency training. The fellowship program is a one-year program and helps a surgeon become proficient in a specific field.

After completing medical school, the student is expected to complete the residency training-the residency training period of five to six years. The student is expected to perform general surgery in the first three years. And in the remaining last years, the candidate can perform plastic surgeries.
